Inter-Presbytery Leadership Formation
IS GOD CALLING YOU TO FURTHER LEADERSHIP? If you are a Ruling Elder, God might be calling you to preach or become more involved in pastoral service. Redstone Presbytery, along with four neighboring presbyteries, will be continuing the training program for the preparation of possible "Commissioned Pastors" for the future. New students may begin in the fall of 2022. The program includes both classroom and hands-on experiences, and you will receive training and mentorship that will help you grow as a leader in Christ's Church. ELI: Elder Leadership Institute
ELI develops and supports spiritual leadership for the church by training elders (referred to as ruling elders) and pastors (teaching elders). The acronym ELI is synonymous with the name of an Old Testament priest who failed in his duties, thus serving as a cautionary tale that one's calling or religious position does not automatically confer spiritual leadership. Yet the name ELI means "my God," with EL & I demonstrating the intimacy that we are called to have with God. You can find out more here.
