Women's Clergy Group
The Women's Clergy Group began meeting in order to fill a need for networking, sharing of ideas, and to create a place where women could discuss those issues which were particular to women in pastoral roles (preaching styles, attire, power and control struggles, family balancing). We found that, plus a community that desired to hold one another in prayer as we grew each into the women of God that we were called to be. A time of sharing of joys and concerns and intercessory prayer is offered each gathering.
The Women's Clergy Group meets for lunch on the months when Presbytery does not meet, with the exception of December. Meetings are normally held at a restaurant in a central location on the fourth Thursday of the month, although the meeting date may change based on the changing needs of the group. Regular email communications are sent as reminders of meetings, and surveys are offered to gain input. All women clergy within the Presbytery of Redstone are invited to attend and receive email communications of meeting announcements.
